Green Lake Planned On-Street Parking Changes
In December 2023, SDOT plans to expand paid parking in the Green Lake area to help more customers and visitors find convenient parking near their destinations. Expanding paid parking will also improve parking turnover and reduce area congestion caused by drivers.
SDOT plans to add 2-hour paid parking on the below blocks in Green Lake in December 2023:
- 1st Ave NE from Woodlawn Ave NE to E Green Lake Way N (east and west side)
- 2nd Ave NE from Woodlawn Ave NE to E Green Lake Way N (east and west side)
- 4th Ave NE from Woodlawn Ave NE to E Green Lake Way N (east and west side)
- East Green Lake Way N from Sunnyside Ave N to 1st Ave NE (south side only)
- East Green Lake Way N from 2nd Ave NE to 4th Ave NE (south side only)
- Woodlawn Ave NE from Latona Ave NE to 4th Ave NE (north side only)
- Woodlawn Ave NE from 5th Ave NE to NE Ravenna Blvd (north side only)
SDOT will also install or relocate two 4-hour disabled parking spaces where federal guidelines recommend as part of this work. Once installed, morning rates (8am-11am) will be $2.50 per hour, afternoon rates (11am-5pm) at $4.50 per hour, and evening rates (5pm-8pm) at $3.50 per hour. O-street parking will be free on Sundays, holidays, and when paid time limits do not apply.
