About The P-Patch
Westcrest Garden P-Patch
In 2009 the City of Seattle began work on covering the West Seattle Reservoir as part of an ongoing effort to secure Seattle's water supply. As with many of Seattle's reservoir projects, the city added 20 acres of green space. To take advantage of this new space, Westcrest Park received a substantial makeover with design and construction funding from the 2008 Parks and Green Space Levy. Westcrest Park P-Patch was developed in conjunction with the redevelopment of Westcrest Park and was completed in 2013. Funding was provided through the Community Gardens portion of the Parks & Green Spaces Levy.
Located in the diverse neighborhood of Highland Park, Westcrest has a polyglot atmosphere where garden plots reflect the foods of the world. Garden spaces at a P-Patch are dynamic - Westcrest has a variety of size plots for different experiences in growing. Visit the garden anytime. Better yet, sign up if you are interested in getting involved.
