City of Seattle Voluntary Deferred Compensation Plan

The Deferred Compensation Plan is moving to the Pacific Building with the Seattle City Employees' Retirement System

Effective January 1, 2025, you will find the Deferred Compensation Administrative Plan Stafff located with the Seattle City Employees' Retirement System in the Pacific Building, 720 3rd Ave, Floor 9.  Aligning the Deferred Compensation Plan and the Seattle City Employees' Retirement System together under Seattle Retirement will provide opportunities to improve the overall retirement experience for members.

Nationwide's retirement on-site education consultant will continue to maintain an office on the 16th floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower to serve members.  This change should not cause any disruption for members.

This plan allows all persons identified as an employee under the Seattle Municipal Code to invest in their future by building a retirement savings account using payroll deductions.

Employees in an exempt position or a permanent non-exempt position, may be eligible for a defined benefit plan. Refer to the Pension links on this page for more information.

Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday, 6 a.m. - 3 p.m PT. Employees may also reach out to one of the Plan's dedicated Education Consultants at (206) 447-1924 or visit them in the Seattle Municipal Tower (SMT), Suite 1635.  The representatives will be working remotely until SMT is fully reopened.
