COVID Resources for Parents
The Department of Education and Early Learning continues to adapt to meet community needs caused by the COVID-19 crisis. General updates on our programs and resources are shared below.
CHILD CARE
Access to Child Care
If you need infant or child care, you may be eligible for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). CCAP is open to qualifying families who live in Seattle and have working parents or a parent attending school. CCAP provides financial assistance to pay for child care services for children 0-12 years old. To learn more, please call us at (206) 386-1050, email us at CCAP@seattle.gov, or visit us online.
For infant or child care outside Seattle, contact our partner Child Care Resources at (206) 329-5544 or visit https://childcare.org/family-services.
Safety during COVID
Child care facilities open to the public during COVID-19 are operating under guidance from the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHSKC). These include guidelines for socially distanced activities, daily health screenings, and increased frequency of sanitizing and disinfecting, among other health and safety measures.
