Customer Service Counters Reopen by Appointment Only
Our Consumer Protection Division customer service counter on the 4th floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 Fifth Ave., is now open. Service is available by appointment only, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Business Licenses and Tax Payments
We encourage businesses to use the online portal, FileLocal, to get licensed, file tax returns and make tax payments. If you have questions, please email tax@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8484.
Payments for Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities can be made:
- Online at the Seattle Utility Services Website
- Or, by mailing or dropping a check or money order to drop boxes at the City's Customer Service Centers outside of downtown Seattle. Locations can be found at www.seattle.gov/customer-service-centers
Money orders are available free of charge at any Wells Fargo branch in Seattle city limits. Include the following information with your check or money order when depositing it at a drop box location:
- Your name and contact information, so we can reach you if there are questions.
- The bill or invoice you received OR
- The account number or invoice number you are paying.
- If you do not have an account number or invoice number, please provide the department contact, name and/or phone you are working with.
Your payment will be processed as soon as possible.
